Lawrence J. Morris
Lawrence J. Morris is the general counsel, responsible for the team that provides legal advice to the University leadership and staff.
Before joining CUA in 2011, Mr. Morris served 27 years in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the Army, retiring as a colonel. His assignments include serving as criminal law department chair at the Army’s law school; general counsel at the United States Military Academy; Chief Public Defender, U.S. Army; Chief Prosecutor, Office of Military Commissions, and deployments to Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iraq.
He has a B.A. and J.D. from Marquette University, an LL.M from The Judge Advocate General’s School, and a M.S. from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. He has written and lectured about military justice and national security.
