2012 Commencement Address

 President Garvey continued his custom of addressing graduates about one of the virtues. This year, he spoke about patience, which he called "the ground that virtue grows in."

In his remarks at the annual Mass of the Holy Spirit, the president called for a renewed commitment to service. "As we begin our anniversary year, we acknowledge the special role that serving others plays in the life of the university,"  Garvey said.
